Sentinels (Snowdrops)

Guards from the dark countenance of winter not done.
Spotters of a spring soon to be sprung.
Blanketed by snow’s cold embrace, frosted as delicate lace;
Buffeted in gales, with raindrops frolicking in the chase.
Yet still they raise their heads, in waving little teams;
Like lanterns illuminating our future hopes & dreams.

Snowdrops.
