A red Tulip bloom opening – timelapsed to a 7 second video.
The production technique for this simple timelapse video was as follows:
A potted Tulip was placed in front of a dark background and illuminated by a Halogen work-lamp. The camera (a Canon 40D with 24-105L lens) placed upon a tripod was set to ISO 250 1/13s f11. Tethered shooting captured 1 frame every 30 seconds directly to PC. After the bloom had opened, the core 140 frames of action were selected and processed within Adobe software as an image sequence. Finally this sequence was exported as a 4K video and also as a 720P duplicate video for web use.
